Having lived in Old Street since I was a child, everything about it is so familiar to me, yet so strange.
When I walk through the old streets, my eyes always search for remnants of memories, using the camera in my hands to preserve those precious slices of time, recalling in my mind the scene when I was carrying my school bag and walking through the streets to school.
Photography is more about capturing the real-life counterparts of memories. The old streets are not the same as I once knew them, but I am still so determined to focus on the simple and simple side of them, while not being interested in, or even ignoring, the new and trendy parts.
The question is, is this thing in reality the same as the other thing in my memory?
Time has changed and the past is like smoke. Stopping to look at it, I think about it.
